Ikhlas

Umar ibn al-Khattab RA said on the mimbar, I heard Rasulullah SAW say,

إنما الأعمال بالنيات وإنما لكل امرئ مانوى, فمن كانت هجرته إلى الله ورسوله فهجرته إلى الله ورسوله, ومن كانت هجرته لدنيا يصيبها أو امرأة ينكحها فهجرته إلى ما هاجر إليه.

"Actions are but judged according to intentions. Every man has what he intends. So whoever emigrates to gain something of this world or to marry a woman, his emigration is for that to which he emigrated."
